Protecting our countryside Having grown up in Suffolk, I know how special our countryside is — and I want to protect it for future generations. Improving services for children and young people As a father of two young sons, I want every child in Suffolk to have access to a great education. I’ll work with Suffolk County Council to secure better funding from the Department for Education, strengthen our SEND provision, and ensure children benefit from more time outdoors, more exercise, and richer extracurricular opportunities. Reducing crime and creating safe neighbourhoods Thanks to PCC Tim Passmore, Suffolk has record police numbers and low crime rates. But we can go further. I’ll campaign for fairer funding for Suffolk Constabulary, to put more officers on our streets and free them from desk duties to focus on tackling crime. Delivering better quality health services for people across Central Suffolk and North Ipswich I support the Triple Lock and the rise in the tax-free pension allowance. We’ve delivered £70 million more for our local NHS, including £25 million for Ipswich Hospital’s A&E.
