Earlier this month Alex Burghart MP was asked by Leader of the Opposition Kemi Badenoch to become Deputy Leader of the Conservative Party. It was an interesting appointment because many Party Leaders have not opted to formally designate any one individual as their Deputy. It was a vote of faith and trust, that Kemi decided to do so for Alex. It was also interesting because Alex has agreed to come and speak to Members of the Association on thee 22nd October next month. It will be his first trip to our constituency, and certainly one too remember. He will partake in an event at Fynn Valley where we will have a brief conversation on stage about the future of the Conservative Party before taking questions from Members.
