It was a pleasure to join families from Needham Market for the 2025 Remembrance Sunday Service. Having an opportunity to lay a wreath is undoubtedly one of the greatest honours that comes with being a Member of Parliament. I believe the sacrifice that previous generations gave to defend our freedoms is part of what makes our country great. Remembrance Sunday serves to remind us all of what duty and patriotism looks like, what sacrifice means, and how fortunate we are to live in an age where many of those freedoms are taken for granted. As time moves on, and memories fade, I hope we all use Remembrance Sunday to educate future generations about our shared history and the sacrifice that others have given to protect our nation.
