On Tuesday night I met residents of Easton and Letheringham to hear concerns about plans for a new solar farm being built nearby.
While I have sympathy with any effort to combat climate change, I 100% share the concerns many have that a beautiful bit of countryside will be ruined, that their way of life will be severely disrupted during the process of construction, and that this is part of an uncoordinated attempt to decarbonise our grid that ignores better alternatives such as off-shore wind and solar panels on warehouse roofs.
My team and I will do everything to make sure the developer hears and understands concerns among residents.
