As your MP, I am actively working on several issues affecting local schools:

  1. Funding: Advocating for fairer funding allocations for Suffolk schools to address disparities in resources compared to other regions.
  2. Rural Education Support: Tackling challenges unique to rural schools, including transport logistics and maintaining small school viability.
  3. Post-16 Options: Expanding vocational training and apprenticeship opportunities in our area to provide students with diverse pathways into the workforce.

Improving services for children and young people

As a Father of two young sons, I want young people in Suffolk to get access to a great education. I will work with Suffolk County Council to get a better funding deal from the Department for Education, and make sure we invest in our SEND offer.
